Gerrit is an experienced executive search consultant and has successfully worked on more than 100 search assignments in South Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa, in almost all industries and functional roles, for global, regional and local clients. Gerrit was previously a Partner in the retained executive search division of a listed organisation and the largest human capital group in Africa. Following the merger of this division with the oldest retained executive search group in South Africa, he served as Partner and shareholder in that organisation until establishing his own boutique search firm, “Executive Search International” in Cape Town. Gerrit enjoys the role of trusted advisor to C-Suite clients, a role that he has earned through building long lasting relationships with his clients and through the belief that each and every placement should serve the best interest of both client and candidate. Prior to entering executive search, Gerrit has successfully held positions from Intern level to Board level in the human capital field. He also gained general management experience in organisations varying from small entrepreneurial to large and listed corporates. With three business degrees Gerrit supports his deep and wide business and consulting experience.
