Gavin is the founder of Ellwood Atfield and has over twenty years’ headhunting experience. He specialises in the appointment of senior communicators and influencers, advising the boards of a diverse range of organisations and global brands, as well as the CEOs of trade associations and professional bodies.

With his colleagues in Brussels, he launched the Association Leadership Academy to provide education, skills, networking opportunities and training to association leaders.

Gavin is a Past Master and Court member of the Company of Communicators and a Freeman of the City of London. He has a BA Hons in philosophy and psychology.

He is an entrepreneurially-minded lover of tech, motorbikes and dogs; his schnauzer, Nelson, occasionally makes an appearance in the London office.
