Gavin McCartney is a Partner at Stanton Chase London. The first half of his career was spent working for three top-tier international organizations: Boehringer-Ingelheim, Colgate Palmolive, and Courtaulds Textiles, contributing in marketing, sales, and commercial management roles. After a successful 13 years on the client side, Gavin transitioned to international executive search in 2006. He joined Nichols Consultancy, where he became a Board Director in 2009 and was later promoted to Partner in 2013. In 2018, Gavin joined a global executive search firm specializing in the medical device industry as part of the leadership team focusing on global business development. Gavin’s international executive search experience involves managing assignments for global, regional, and local clients, working with multiple stakeholders and multicultural teams for global life sciences and healthcare companies. His mandates range from executive board, C-suite, VP, and director level positions across most functional areas. Gavin also brings specific knowledge and expertise to early-mid venture startups and SMEs, having become acquainted with the characteristics of small, fast-growing, investor/VC/PE-backed dynamic workplaces. Gavin has traveled extensively, conducting interviews in regions and markets including Europe, the Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Israel, South and North Africa, the Middle East, and Brazil. Gavin holds a BSc degree in Business Management from the European Business Management School at Swansea University. He is also an accredited practitioner of Intercultural Management Consultancy as well as psychometric and behavioral assessments.
