Biography
Mr Smith leads the UK Human Resources Centre of Expertise and is responsible for all HR-related executive search activity across all sectors in the UK. In addition, he works closely with colleagues in the Firm's talent, culture and organisational advisory practices to provide insight into the key leadership and organisational challenges facing our clients. Mr Smith's role focuses primarily on helping clients to assess and recruit Chief Human Resources Officers, Group and Divisional HRDs, senior HR Generalists alongside senior specialists in Reward, Talent Management, Organisational Development and Design, Diversity & Inclusion, Resourcing, Talent and Industrial/Employee Relations. Mr. Smith has over ten years of executive search and advisory experience. He joined Korn Ferry from a leading executive search and strategic advisory boutique where he was a Partner covering the global Human Resources market with a particular focus on the areas of Talent, Resourcing and HR leaders. In addition, he has worked extensively with professional services firms, specifically at Partner-level, in the areas of Human Capital, Talent, Culture, Leadership & Organisational consulting. Mr. Smith's client base includes a number of UK Plc's, global corporates as well as major financial and professional services firms. He has executed projects across the US, EMEA and APAC on behalf of his clients. In his current role he collaborates closely with colleagues to work across industries and additionally supports a number of the Firm's global client relationships. Prior to executive search Mr. Smith spent a number of years working in the television industry researching and producing documentary programmes. Previously he had a successful career in central London real estate both in sales and leadership roles. Mr. Smith is a graduate from the University of Leeds and grew up in Vienna, Austria.
