Biography
Jean-Philippe Daoust is a senior member of the firm’s Canadian team, where he focuses on client engagements in the Technology and Industrial & Natural Resources Sectors. He brings a unique strategic perspective on business and technology transformation to his leadership advisory and talent search work. Jean-Philippe leverages more than 20 years of legal, commercial, technology transformation and management consulting experience to identify, assess and develop senior leadership talent for clients of all sizes and geographies, particularly during periods of significant disruption. He is based in Montreal. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Jean-Philippe was a senior leader in the CIO Advisory and Technology Transformation practices of PwC and, more recently, Deloitte. In these consulting roles, he helped cross-sector clients tackle the disruptions caused by emerging business models, new technology introduction, M&A activities, globalization and regulatory changes. Earlier, Jean-Philippe held various management roles with the outsourcing division of Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (now DxC) for more than 12 years, structuring, negotiating and implementing large IT outsourcing deals. He began his career in legal and commercial consulting. Jean-Philippe holds civil and common law degrees (BCL, LLB) from McGill University and an LLM in European business law from the University of Amsterdam. He speaks fluent English, French and Dutch.
