Jim Aveni is a director in the Firm’s Valuation, Forensic and Litigation Services group. He represents developers, builders, buyers, sellers and lenders in all aspects of commercial, industrial and residential property acquisition, sale, construction and development. His practice focuses on construction, land use, zoning, title and real estate development. His litigation experience includes construction related disputes, eminent domain, real estate contract disputes, zoning disputes and tax valuation challenges. Mr. Aveni received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Richmond College of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wittenberg University. He served as general counsel of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cleveland from 2001-2009 and is a member of the American, Ohio and Lake County Bar Associations. Mr. Aveni currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Kids of 216, a non-profit organization providing vocational training for inner city youth in the Cleveland area.
