Biography
André Freire is a Civil Engineer from Escola de Engenharia Mauá, with an MBA from FGV and specializations in Management from Kellogg School of Management (USA) and People Management from INSEAD (France). He is certified in Executive Coaching by SBC. Before joining EXEC, he was a partner and CEO of the Brazilian office of the British consultancy Odgers Berndtson. Previously, he had a rising career in the industrial sector, serving as CEO for Latin America at the American multinationals Gilbarco-Veeder Root (petroleum distribution equipment) and Terex Corporation (heavy construction and mining machinery and equipment). André is a member and director of the São Paulo Gold chapter of YPO – Young Presidents Organization and a board member of the retailer FOM. He was Chairman of the Board of the American NGO Make-a-Wish, as well as a board member of three family-owned companies as an independent member. Additionally, he is a professor of the Board Program and Family Businesses courses at StartSe. He is also a regular columnist for EXAME on career development topics. André was recognized as one of the top 10 CEOs under 40 with a promising future and was featured on the cover of Você S/A magazine in 2009. Currently, André is a Managing Partner at EXEC, leading the firm’s Consumer and Retail Cluster, focusing on C-Level executive search, governance structure, board formation, and coaching, mentoring, and leadership development programs.
