Elaine Auerbach, MBA, MPH is the Managing Partner and Practice Leader, co-leading the Kaye/Bassman Academic Medicine Practice. She brings the depth of a 15-year career as an academic medical center and higher education executive and consultant to her more than 22 years of executive search experience. She joined Kaye/Bassman in 2011 after a successful search career at two internationally recognized executive search firms. Elaine has successfully completed over 450 searches over her search career. Positions placed have included Vice Presidents, Deans, Associate Deans, Chairs, Division Chiefs, Chief Academic Officers, Chief Medical Officers, Program, Fellowship and Clerkship Directors, Medical Directors, and clinical and research faculty in the academic, higher education, and the not-for-profit sectors. Her experience extends broadly into the administrative leadership functions at the health system level to include executive management, development and philanthropy, and medical education. Her industry sector experience includes integrated healthcare delivery systems, academic medical centers, physician practice groups, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Elaine capitalizes on her strengths as a senior executive to become a strategic partner and consultant to her diverse client base. Experienced in multiple healthcare and higher education settings, as well as executive search, she leverages her organizational consulting and design experience to give clients added value with an insider’s perspective. Elaine earned MBA and MPH degrees from Columbia University, NY, where she was awarded a Mobil Corporation scholarship. Her BA is from the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in health economics.
