Rick Brounstein is the National Technical Accounting Practice Leader for Hardesty, LLC. Rick personally brings over 25 years of CFO-level experience including Big 4 CPA experience, IPO experience and as a sitting CFO for smaller public companies. Prior to joining Hardesty, LLC, Rick founded [CTRL]CFO. [CTRL]CFO are Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) advisers primarily in the software, tech/med tech industries. He is a past president, Financial Executives International, Silicon Valley Chapter and served at the national level which included an appointment on the elite SEC Advisory Committee for Smaller Public Companies; he was also a member of the COSO’13 task force that wrote the updated standards widely used in today’s SOX §404 compliance. Rick is currently a frequent speaker advising companies and their professional advisors on ASC606 as well as other new accounting standards – leasing.
