Rodney Morris

Rodney is a sought-after executive search consultant known for placing influential leaders across the consumer and service sectors, including the restaurant, hospitality, technology, home & commercial services, health and wellness, fitness, and retail industries. Rodney’s search expertise at The Elliot Group spans roles ranging from the director level through the C-suite across multiple disciplines, including operations, marketing, finance, human resources, IT, and development.

With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Rodney previously held senior leadership roles in human resources and operations for organizations ranging in size from private equity-backed emerging brands to public multi-concept organizations with multi-billion-dollar annual revenues. His hands-on experience and insights in executive search have allowed Rodney to successfully and seamlessly partner with emerging companies, high-growth organizations, franchise businesses, and global brands alike.

A noted human resources executive and frequent speaker, Rodney has presented at several CHART conferences, the Multicultural Foodservice Hospitality Alliance conference, the California, Ohio, and Texas State Diversity conferences, the National Restaurant Show, and The People Report’s™ Best Practices and Summer Brand Camp conferences.

Additionally, Rodney is a former board member for TDn2K(formerly The People Report), a former Chairperson of the Certification Governing Board for the Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant Association, and former President of the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART). Rodney is a two-time recipient of the Texas Diversity Council’s “Diversity FIRST™ Award” for his support of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Rodney is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration. He resides in Portland, Oregon.
