Biography
It's been almost a decade since I walked away from the practice of law, and 2020 confirmed that I made the right choice to just be happy. Life is, unfortunately, too short not to. The year that none of us will forget reaffirmed for me the things that are most important in life aren't things. People and connections. Experiences and fulfillment. Peace and good health. Those are the things that matter. I'm fortunate that my career checks those boxes. I get to connect with people every day and help them achieve their goals to grow their teams or their own careers in the real estate development and construction industries. I'm fulfilled by supporting initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion and hiring of veterans, and by helping clients in affordable housing build strong teams that build strong communities for those who need them most. And while our jobs are fast-paced, I am driven every day not by court-imposed deadlines but by my own innate need to help real people, which translates into a tangible benefit for my own health and peace. Life really is fleeting, and tomorrow isn't guaranteed. If you aren't doing what you love, if it's not bringing you joy and fulfillment, if it causes stress that endangers your health, and if it doesn't allow you the time, the means, or the opportunity to spend more time with people you care about, it is never too late to make a change. I did. And I have never looked back.
