Laura leads Totum’s specialist People & Operations practice where she partners Professional Services firms looking to appoint leadership roles within their People or Operations functions. Laura helps firms on the appointment of a Chief People Officer and then often partners with them to build their teams. She is also responsible for helping firms attract Chief Operating Officers, Chief of Staff, Directors of Administration, Business Managers and Practice Managers. Laura has grown her Practice to a team of three, building successful partnerships with Totum clients, alongside colleagues in the other parts of our firm. With over 20 years’ experience in recruitment, primarily in the legal and professional services sector, she has played a key role in helping both UK and US headquartered firms attract more commercial leaders as the functions have evolved. She prides herself on the great personal relationships she has built over many years that enable her to act as a trusted adviser to some of the most well-regarded HR and Operations leaders in the sector. Laura has seen leaders in her network play a key role in the success of their firms as HR and Operations professionals continue to prove their commercial value. Over Laura’s career, she has seen people that she has introduced to firms, many years ago, flourish and move into leadership positions themselves, including Chief People Officer and COO.
