Considered and analytical, with a science degree in Mathematics, Mike is down-to-earth, can-do and capable. Nothing gets past him. He initially proved himself an exceptional Operations Manager when he took the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra through NZ, Australia, Japan, United Kingdom and Europe as its Touring Manager. A logistical and human relations challenge if ever there was one! Later, he refined those skills to perfect pitch by managing all of the professional intricacies of a big and busy Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Flexible and expert in developing interpersonal and client/supplier relationships, Mike is also no stranger to NFP, having contributed to several partnered fundraising projects involving the National Heart Foundation, Starlight Children and Surf Life Saving Australia. Initially a New Zealander who has now called Queensland home since 2006, Mike follows competitive team sports but invests his personal energies in playing and coaching soccer and – helped by his family - as a carer for the puppy raising program at Guide Dogs Qld. Quiet times are enriched by music, playing the guitar or reading.
