When reflecting upon his career it becomes clear that every decision Brad has made led him to right here, right now, and that launching AJ Supply Chain & Procurement feels almost inevitable.
Brad’s career in recruitment started in the usual way; being shoulder-tapped by the recruiter you’re interviewed by for a completely different role! Brad’s prior sales experience provided him the opportunity to build a solid foundation in business development, customer service, and account management which set him up to be an excellent recruitment consultant.
This commercial experience complemented by the skills and attributes Brad developed as a professional athlete (playing cricket in the UK); a competitive mindset, resilience, being a true collaborator, and always wanting to improve and develop as a team player, is exactly what’s needed to succeed in recruitment.
Over the past decade, Brad has recruited in the Procurement and Supply Chain sectors across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, progressing from consultant (including a few years at Alexander James) to being responsible for developing a professional services firm across Oceania delivering high-end recruitment services to the supply chain and procurement markets.
Returning to Alexander James to establish and develop AJ Supply Chain & Procurement is a full-circle moment for Brad and he’s excited by the challenge. With the full support of the wider AJ team, he is confident this new business venture will be a success.
